THE SITUATION

Kashi is a better-for-you brand that offers products like cereals, grab-and-go bars, and more, using natural ingredients that are high in protein and fiber. The brand wanted to use sampling to introduce new products and needed help reaching targeted audiences in environments outside of the grocery store.

HOW WE HELPED

Kashi’s new GoLEAN bars were a perfect fit for parents and students on the go. We helped distribute the samples in areas and environments that increased trial among these all-important target audiences.

We helped Kashi with their sampling program by:

  • Identifying impactful ways to reach parents via daycares/preschools
  • Connecting with college students on campuses where products were available
  • Coordinating all outreach to all locations and gatekeepers
  • Handling fulfillment and shipping to ensure products arrived on time to the right people
  • Fielding research among participating channel partners and consumers to measure likeability of the product, brand awareness, and purchase intent

THE RESULTS

Kashi gained a great foothold in new markets, leveraging samples to create customers and build word-of-mouth awareness. 

78% of samples went to people who had never purchased Kashi products before, extending awareness and trial
